How will Apple
compete with their competitors? According to www.zdnet.com Apple will be releasing two
new iPhone models this September. This will be the first time Apple has
released two models at one time. Apple understands that driving business
results is very critical in this industry. For Apple to stay relevant in the
smartphone market, they had to come up with a strategy that will keep their
consumers happy and fight off their competitors. Apple is planning to launch the
new iPhones on September 10th.
How will this launch affect Apple when Samsung Electronics, the
largest smartphone maker in the world, is also planning to launch their large
screen Galaxy Note phablet and smart watch called Galaxy Gear on September 4th?
If you are worried about whether Apple or Samsung will come out on top, let me
insight you on some of the features Apple will have for the new iPhones.
- There will be two iPhone
models released on the same day.
- The iPhones will come in
low-end and high-end prices.
- There will be a
fingerprint scanner as a new feature on the iPhones.
- The iPhone will be
offered in gold.
Do you think this strategy is a good one for Apple and the future
for Apple products? According to our reading this week, there are three steps that
came to mind when I read about this new release of iPhones.
- Drive business
results
- Deliver results through
people
- Ensure market-driven
direction
Apple understands that they
have to come up with a strategy to keep the interest of their consumers. Adding
new features to the new iPhones like a fingerprint scanner and offering two
different models on the same day is a way to drive business results. IPhones
are very expensive and is one of the reasons I don’t own one. But, Apple is
releasing a high-end and low-end price for their new phone in September, which
proves that Apple listens to their customers needs and is in the right
direction for satisfying their markets.
Will the future of Apple and
their products rise higher than Samsung’s products? Why did Apple release two
new iPhones months before Christmas? Is Apple strategy working? Stay tuned to
find out on September 10th.
